Hi Ralph! Draining the soaking water helps remove some of the starches that can make the oat milk slimy. Using fresh water for blending results in a smoother texture. Hope that helps! 😊

Hello,
What is the idea of draining the water that was used for soaking? Why not blend the oats in the soaking water and use this water for the milk?

Hi Imber! As you can read in the third step, you have to add all the remaining ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth, including the dates. Just remove the seeds and add them 🙂 Hope you like it!

When/how do you suggest adding the dates? I definitely want to sweeten using dates, I just don't know how and when to add them, thanks!

Just wondering why you drain and rinse the soaked oats, rather than just blending it as is? I'm thinking there is probably good nutrients in that soaking water.
I could make a batch both ways and see what the difference is, but the wise learn from other people's experience 🙂
Just threw yet another tetra pak in the bin - I can't keep doing this!
