I spent the entire hour-long bath thinking about how true this phrase is. Everything is about perspective, so slap a smile on your face and have a positive outlook on life. Sounds easy enough. Just create positive intentions and push them out into the world. 

At the time I received this bath bomb from one of my near and dear coworkers, I was going through a very hard time. My father received a cancer diagnosis that was inevitably terminal, my career as a Surgical Technologist had brought me to the realization that there is no advancement without several more years of school, and – to top it all off – I was reinventing myself while removing toxic people from my life. 

Needless to say, this short, simple sentence on a fortune cookie label inside of a bath bomb was exactly what I needed to read, and I fully resonate with it.

When I find myself in a challenging moment, I remember that everything is perspective experience. Negate your emotions filled with the desire for reaction – they will haunt you through repercussions – and instead create an action for change that is positive. Nothing good comes from outbursts.

I didn’t realize how much this phrase would mean to me and become my mantra – I still have it on my refrigerator door under a magnet years later.
